Study Abroad Programs: Direct exchanges

DATES:
Semester 1: Early January - Late May
Semester 2: End of August - Mid December

COST: Paid to Mason:

  • Mason Tuition
  • $125 application fee
  • $300 administrative fee ($500 for year long)

Paid to EuroMed:

  • Room and board

Not included:

  • International airfare
  • Passport and visa fees
  • Meals
  • Personal expenses

If a student applies and is accepted into the direct exchange program and then drops out of the program, he/she is still responsible for paying the $300 administrative fee to CGE.

Program Details

The Center for Global Education has once again partnered with EuroMed Marseille to offer students the chance to spend a semester or a year studying in Marseille, France. Within the current context of economic globalization, this program offers a highly international curriculum that allows students to acquire international management skills and to master the complexity involved when working with foreign environments.

The number one sea port in France and the Mediterranean, Marseille has a significant history of international trade. Its poulation is young, lively, and creative. Marseille is the key metropolis of Southern Europe, combining art de vivre with a stimulating economy.

CREDITS:

NOTE: This program is open to Mason students ONLY. Students must be at least a second semester sophomore at the time of departure and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Students should not study abroad the last semester of senior year if they plan to graduate on time.
