2009 Winter Break in Guadeloupe Program Participants

Spend your winter break away from the cold and learn French in the Caribbean! Need we say more? Guadeloupe is located in the lower Antilles of the Caribbean. It is a center of Creole culture, which is a lively blend of French and African influences. This group of islands boasts products such as sugar and rum, and is also acclaimed for its resorts and ecological sites. In Guadeloupe you'll find rainforests and secluded beaches, rural villages, but also modern cities.

Classes will be conducted through MédiaLangues Caraïbes, who emphasizes three types of immersion: linguistic, cultural, and tropical. Classes will take place daily and will be supplemented with seminars and excursions. Language learning will be reinforced by the homestays arranged for the participants.
