Non-Mason programs
Once you have explored the various programs offered by the Center for Global Education you may find that you have an academic need that is not met by our programming. This does not mean that you cannot study abroad! Mason will allow students to participate in any accredited program and earn transfer credits toward their degree. Before you participate on any program sponsored by another organization you must meet with a Program Officer and complete a "Non-Mason" program application to ensure that your credits will transfer back. Please see the Non-Mason program page [link to page] for specific application procedures.

The Non-Mason student handbook is available in PDF form here for everything you need to help you navigate your options and prepare for your study abroad adventure!
For assistance with your Petition for the Transfer of Credit Form print out this memo for Academic Advisors.
Any questions regarding study abroad on a Non-Mason program should be directed to Senior Program Officer, Erin Mateu (703) 993-3864.
