semester programs
Center for Global Education Semester Programs offer students a more fulfilling and complete cultural experience than Short-Term programs. While studying abroad for a semester, students earn up to 15 credits per semester, resident credit if the program is led by a George Mason University Faculty Director or transfer credit if a George Mason faculty member does not accompany the group. To apply, students must have a 2.5 or above cumulative GPA and at least 45 credit hours completed. Some programs require a higher minimum cumulative GPA. Please refer to specific program pages for details.
Programs with a faculty director are open to both Mason and non-Mason students. All other programs are only open to Mason students. These programs are distinct from Non-Mason semester programs in that our programs are organized and administered by the Center for Global Education.
