Faculty-led semester programs
Led by select George Mason faculty, these programs offer 12 to 17 resident (graded) credits per semester, as students take courses taught in English or the host country's language. Check individual program pages for details:

direct exchange semester programs
Open to Mason students only, these programs allow students to continue paying their tuition to Mason while paying room and board to the host institution. Ideal for more mature and independent students, no Mason faculty member is present during a direct exchange. Instead, Mason students enroll as visiting international students at the host institution, earning 12 to 16 transfer credits per semester, as they take courses taught in English or the host country's language. Also open to Mason students only, these programs allow students to attend various select overseas institutions. Program costs for direct-enrollment programs vary and are dependent upon tuition and location. Mason students enroll as visiting international students at the host institution, earning 12 to 16 transfer credits per semester. Ideal for more mature and independent students, no Mason faculty member is present during a direct exchange. Courses are taught in English or the host country's language and are available in many different disciplines.

semester-long internship programs
Enhance your resume by gaining global and professional experience while earning academic credit on a CGE internship abroad. CGE internships are open to students of all majors at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, including international students and non-George Mason students.
